Big Gulp

11 Oil on Panel 8”X11”

We want it NOW,FAST, and CHEAP.

We are continuously casually consciously destroying our environments.

We’re addicted to convenience and comfortability.

We’re obsessed with ourselves, ego, and status.

We’re never satisfied.

We want MORE and MORE and MORE.

Big Gulp is a series of oil paintings that use humor as a mirror to confront our daily toxic habits that pollute the world. The series reflects our relationship to our food systems, disconnection to the land, to each other, and to ourselves. The interactions of spineless arms, automobiles, drive thrus, and neon sodas speak to our obsessive addiction that is excessive and unnecessary.
